About PACC

The Poolesville Area Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization incorporated in Maryland in 1979 as a 501 (c)6 non-profit business organization. We are dedicated to the promotion and advancement of the general welfare and prosperity of the Poolesville Area, its citizens, and its business community.

The Poolesville Area encompasses the upper western region of Montgomery County, Maryland, including the towns of Barnesville, Beallsville, Boyds, Comus, Dawsonville, Dickerson, Jerusalem, Martinsburg, Poolesville, and Seneca and their surrounding areas.

Our services include providing networking and business opportunities for Chamber members as well as marketing opportunities through the Business and Community Directory and the Tourism Map. We market the Poolesville Area on both a state-wide and regional basis, monitoring government actions affecting business and encouraging the Heritage Tourism initiative.

Our community services include publication of the Poolesville Area Business and Community Directory, the area Tourism Map, sponsorship of the Poolesville Day 5K Race, awards of college scholarships to area high school students, contributions to the WUMCO assistance project, support of the 4th of July fireworks and many other community activities. We partner with the Town on many town events, including Poolesville Day each September and the First Friday Holiday Event in December.

Our operations are managed by a Board of Directors (volunteers) and one part time (paid) staff member. Board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at Town Hall and any Chamber member is welcome to attend.

Member Benefits


There are many opportunities to network with fellow chamber members through participation in various PACC activities. In addition to monthly networking breakfasts, several networking events take place each year at different members’ business locations. Email the PACC president if you are interested in hosting one of these events. There are also 2 premiere events for members each year, the Holiday Party and the Annual Meeting.


Membership allows for significantly reduced fees for advertising in the annual Business & Community Directory, as well as a Bold Listing and listing by category in the back section of the directory. Only members of the chamber can advertise in the Tourism map.

Website and Social Media

All Chamber members will be listed on the Chamber’s Website. Members may be found by business category (Members can be listed in up to 3 categories) or a search by name. Each member’s profile includes a direct link to their website and email. Our Facebook pages (one for Members only and one open to the Public) allow Members to advertise and promote their business for free.

Bulk Mail Permit

All Chamber members are permitted to use the Chambers Bulk Mailing permit ($150 value). All bulk mailing must now be carried out through the Gaithersburg Postal Office, USPS Bulk Mail Center (16501 Shady Grove Rd., Gaithersburg). The Post Office has a listing of all current chamber members. Contact our Executive Secretary if you have any questions.
