PACC is proud to announce the following organizations to benefit from our Annual Poolesville Day 5K Run/Walk.

Monocacy Lions Club
We have a long history partnering with the Lions Club who, without their support especially the day of the race, our 5K could not happen. Among the many charitable works the Lions use all their proceeds from partnering with the PACC 5K for are eye and ear hearing exams for adults and children in need, eyeglasses and hearing aids, training for Leader Dogs for Sight Impaired persons, scholarships for sight, hearing, and diabetic children to Camp Merrick, a Maryland based outdoor program for children with such disabilities, funds for emergency assistance, donations to local, regional, and state programs of assistance, etc.

PHS Cross Country Team
We also donate to our local HS Cross Country Team and each year we choose a cause or organization to support. The Poolesville High School Cross Country team has helped lead our race for many years – our donation from the race provides essential funds to support this athletic program which has the largest number of student participation (both boys and girls) than any other athletic sport.

Poolesville Green
This year we are proud to choose Poolesville Green with this honor. Since 2010, Poolesville Green has been educating our community about sustainable living practices, sharing actions for individuals and organizations that make sense for our economy and the world we live in.

WUMCO Help, Inc.
Our mission is to provide quick and friendly assistance to needy persons in Western Upper Montgomery County (Poolesville, Barnesville, Beallsville, Boyds, Dickerson, and surrounding areas) in times of crisis with rent or mortgage payments, utilities, medical or other current critical expenses; transportation for medical and social service needs; long-term coverage of maintenance medicine not adequately covered by insurance, either government or private; emergency and holiday food and holiday toys.
