Poolesville Area Chamber of Commerce

The Poolesville Day 5K Run/Walk is an annual community event and is part of the Poolesville Day celebrations for the Town of Poolesville, Maryland.  Runners and walkers of all levels of ability are welcome and encouraged to participate.  The gently rolling race course travels through the quiet neighborhoods of historic Poolesville, Maryland. 

The Poolesville Day 5k is known by local runners as a fast, friendly course and a good opportunity for a fast PR! the race is on a USATF-certified course. This year the race will use 'chip timing' for the first time!

The event is followed immediately by the classic small-town Poolesville Day Parade and town celebration.  Plan to stay for the parade and a day of family fun!

Directions to Start Line and On-Site Registration:

From Route 28 and points East and south:  Follow Route 28 West  from I-270 and Rockville, veer left (West) onto Route 107.  Follow Route 107 into Poolesville (WATCH for SPEED CAMERAS !).  Turn left onto Wooton Ave (Rt 107 (Fisher Ave) will be closed at 7 AM due to Poolesville Day activities).  Follow Wooton Ave to end, turn left onto West Willard Road.  The Poolesville Baptist Church will be immediately on your right, parking is available at Poolesville High School (on your left). 

From Frederick and points North:  Take Route 85 south from I-270 through Buckeystown.  Route 85 will turn into Route 28 near Tuscarora.  Follow Route 28 to stop light at intersection with Route 109 in Beallsville.  Turn right at this stoplight onto Route 109 (Beallsville Road).  Follow Route 109 (Beallsville Road) into Poolesville.  Go right at stop sign onto Route 107 (called Fisher Ave or Whites Ferry Road) and make first immediate left onto West Willard Road.  Poolesville Baptist Church is one block down on your right, parking is available at Poolesville High School, across the street, on your left.  

From Points West:  Take Whites Ferry east across Potomac River from Leesburg.  Exit from ferry turning left onto Route 107 (Whites Ferry Road). (WATCH for SPEED CAMERAS as you approach Poolesville!).  Turn right onto West Willard Road.  Poolesville Baptist Church is one block down on your right, parking is available at Poolesville High School, across the street, on your left.
